But in October 2016, the people in charge of Tata Sons decided to take him out of his job as the leader. Given that, Natarajan Chandrasekaran was appointed as the Chairman of the Tata Group.

He became Chairman in 2017, succeeding Ratan Tata. Chandrasekaran, born in Tamil Nadu in 1963, has a rich background in leadership, having served as the CEO of Tata Consultancy Services and chairman of Tata Motors, Tata Sons and Tata Global Beverages.

Born on December 28, 1937, Ratan Tata has turned 86 years old in December 2023. As an Indian industrialist, entrepreneur, and philanthropist, Ratan Tata is widely known for his charitable work, both nationally and internationally. He chaired major Tata companies like Tata Motors, Tata Steel, and Tata Consultancy Services, showcasing his diverse expertise.

His total wealth, which is the money and valuable things he owns, was reported ₹3,800 crore. This means he was one of the wealthy individuals in India according to that list.
